I would not have ordered this lid if the product description had warned that the handle would come separate from the lid and have to be assembled with all the little parts. I've tried, but it does not fit, so I give up. Just want my money back, so I'll have to waste 30 minutes on the phone trying to reach a human to return it.

This would be a very solid and sturdy stainless steel pan lid, however we were sent the wrong size handle in the package. You have to attach it yourself and there was no way it was meant to fit. My father and brother in law and had to take some pliers to it and use all their strength to bend it so that it could reach the holes. So - Amazon please look into this and send the correct handles! If you buy this be warned you might have to return it or find some strong men to fix it for you!

I was looking for a lid for my Lodge cast iron skillet. It work great! I find myself reaching for it whenever I need a lid for a pan or pot. Much easier than digging for the exact lid.

This lid is larger than I thought it would be, it does give you the dimensions and the description, but I guess I just did not visualize how enormous this thing was. It does not fit very well in the cabinet and is always kind of in the way. It is also difficult to use over a pan when I’m using the burner behind it or beside it. It kind of knocks into the pot or pan behind it. So I definitely would not recommend it if you have kids that might accidentally bump into it because it will knock everything everywhere. And if you have a small sink, it’s sort of difficult to clean and gets water everywhere when you’re trying to rinse it. However, it does fit several sizes of pans and fit well into a smaller one that I was trying to cover. It’s technically functional, it does work for the purpose that I got it, but I do wish it were a little smaller. And I’m pretty sure I received someone else’s return because it’s supposed to come with an uninstalled handle, which it did it came with an uninstalled handle and a couple of screws, but it also came with a second handle that was partially installed and lots of fingerprints on the glass. So I’m pretty sure someone got it, tried to put it together, realized it was extremely inconvenient to use, and then at some point it made its way to a different customer without them fully taking apart the handle. It’s washable so it wasn’t a big deal if it had gone to someone else first and it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning. On the bright side, the handle itself does not seem to get very hot when using it even though it feels like it is metal. I’ve never had to use a potholder when removing the lid.

My only complaint is that it ought to be a little thicker and tougher, but it hasn't failed us yet. This lid really does fit just about everything in our kitchen, including the oversized bowls where we put our dough. It looks a little bit odd; with the center of it being lower than the outside of it, which means it's designed in the opposite manner of most lids (arched). Think of a very slight 'u' shape from the side angle. I figured out why, and it's a smart idea. The lids shape will cause all splatter to run to the center of the lid, instead of to the outside of the lid, where it would drip out. Clever indeed. It's main job in our house is to cover our large cast iron pan, in order to keep it clean between cooking sessions. It also comes in handy to prevent splatter when cooking a hamburger patty.

At first I really liked this lid but after burning my fingers a few times I have quit using it. It fits the pan fine, but the metal handle gets really hot and when you set it down tilted you burn your hand reaching the handle underneath. I gave up I'm ordering a different one, would definitely not recommend it.
