As a belt, this does everything you'd want - namely keeping up your pants and anything you might have hanging off your belt. It seems quite strong and well-built. The buckle is a bit odd in that it opens in what seems like a backwards direction, so that takes some getting used to.In terms of getting through the airport without having to remove the belt, it depends: for screening processes that use a metal detector only, you can expect to be able to leave it on, no problem. If they have the body-scanning machine in place, you will need to take it off to avoid Mr. TSA groping down the front of your pants for god-only-knows-what.
