These shorts are nearly perfectly designed--for my body and bike, anyway. They have padding in the crotch, but it is not super bulking and stiff. It's very flexible and helps displace the pressure while on the seat. What I particularly like is that where my butt bones hit the seat there is extra thick padding. That is, there is a lining of padding throughout the crotch of the shorts, but it is noticeably thicker in the most crucial area. I like this, not only because of the extra padding, but that the padding right between the legs is thinner and more pliable, making walking and other activities not so awkward. The fit of the large size is perfect for me. I have a 34" waist. I'm 5'8" and the shorts come to my knee. This is a bit longer than other such shorts I've had, so be advised they are on the longer side. The material is very breathable and stretches nicely. The seems and sewing appear like they'll hold up for the long run. Great shorts with great padding in the proper places.

These are good shorts for the price. I'm 5'7", 145 pounds with a 31" waist and they fit well. I bought them for indoor rides when I like to ride with my shirt off and they work perfectly for that purpose.

I am an avid indoor and outdoor cyclist and wanted to give these shorts a try. I have several other types and brands of shorts to compare these with and they are a bit different than a couple of other pairs I have that look just like these. The primary difference? The sheerness of the fabric these shorts are made from makes them very supple, non-binding, form-fitting, and comfortable. It's kind of like riding nude but with full support and padding where it counts! Most serious cyclists know all about sweating profusely when we ride hard and the sheerness of this unique fabric will be very cooling and comfortable for both indoor and outdoor (hot weather) use. I have worn them just once, so far, and that was on my spin bike for a vigorous workout. I absolutely love these shorts for spin cycling!! Very comfortable in and out of the seat. Non-restrictive and "free" feeling all the way through the ride. Can't wait until warm weather and I can try them outdoors. The seat and crotch padding is very effective and well placed. It's not overly "bunchy" and doesn't make me feel like I'm waddling around in a Pamper (like a couple other pairs I have!). As for the fit, I gambled and went with a small, which worked out perfectly. I am 5'8" tall, 30 inch inseam, weigh within a couple of pounds either side of 150 lbs., depending on how many carbs my wife's been feeding me. The fit is perfect. The medium wouldn't have been a "fail" but these are great...the better choice.I only have good things to report about these shorts and I'm very glad I found them. Being as light as they are, for care, I think I'll do a quick hand-wash and hang-dry on them so they don't have to withstand the abuse of the washer and dryer. I definitely recommend you give these a try. I am confident you'll love them as much as I do.

Bottom line: These bike shorts are good value and comfortable for your daily ride.I took these shorts out for a quick 20 mile ride which is my normal routine. They were comfortable for the ride. I genuinely felt no different after I got back compared to any of my other shorts.Pros:1. The fit was as expected. I'm always on the line between L and XL with a 35 inch waist. I tend to order up for new brands. The XL was a good fit.2. The chamois padding is decent. Shorts costing much more money will be better but these are more than sufficient to be part of your normal rotation if you ride a lot. I've done 100 mile rides with similar shorts but I would say these are best suited for your daily rides.3. The leg grippers fit just right for me. They hold well but don't feel constricting.4. Most of the material is not see thru even when stretched. The only con:1. The upper part of the shorts in the back is a mesh like material which is meant to be breathable. There is about a two inch strip below the top in the rear. That material is very see thru. Usually that will be covered up by your jersey so it shouldn't be a problem, however if your jersey rides up it might show. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about that strip. I can see the utility of it being a very breathable material, but it did make me think about where my jersey was fitting the whole ride.
