This is a beast of a bit. So far so good. It removes material with ease. Just pull back on the speed to avoid friction burning of the wood.

Used this with a template for routing a guitar body (of sorts). Heavy duty and was more than up for the job. I can’t speak to longevity but no issues with one walnut guitar blank.

I wanted to like this cutter; it looked sharp and like it would perform well. However, the bearings on the cutter I received are not mounted concentric with the cutter body and the cutting flutes. The bearings have ~0.016" (0.4mm) runout. They visibly wobble when rolled on a table or flat surface. There must have been a manufacturing issue when grinding the mounting for the bearings, as the rest of the cutter was perfect.I didn't even try to use it; I returned it and purchased a different brand.

I can't say how long it is going to last but works much better than the traditional straight-blade flush trip bit. It reduced the grabbing and kick-back on harder woods like 3/4" thick maple.

Worked great on my first project. Clean cuts and razor sharp with clean edges. That piece however was only about 1/2inch thick and a total of maybe 20" of total cutting. Tried it on the same type of wood today but I maxed out the cutting edge at just under 2" and it's just not getting the job done. Worked ok for the first half of the plank but now it's seemed to have dulled out and producing dust no matter how I adjust the RPMs. I originally purchased this bit for a smaller project and its 1/2 diameter for getting into tighter corners but now I'm wishing I'd gone with a bigger bit after all. Also thought the edge would of lasted much longer for a $62 bit.

This bit is great for flush trimming. The 1/2 inch diameter is very stable with absolutely no deflection whatsoever. I so far have used it on some of my harder woods - white oak and hard maple, and it trimmed both of these without any problems. And it left a great finish on the edge that required very little sanding.

Good price/value for a bit of this type and it worked for what I needed it to do but was hoping for cleaner edges. Had to do more sanding than expected to clean up the edges. I wouldn't recommend for high end furnishings/cabinetry.
