For the cost I found it top be a really good bit. I flattened a tight grain 4'x12' slab of doug fir. Took 3 passes to get it down to flat. Didn't need to spin the cutters. I can't imagine paying $400 for a bit when this $60 one performed so admirably.

Use for flattening on 1.5 kw spindle. works perfectly. Spetool is my goto for cnc bits.

Ran this cutter to flatten a 5x16 (2-5x8 sheets of MDF) spoil board. Worked great and plan on flattening some mesquite with it soon. Minus one star for not having any branding on package or cutter. I have other spetool endmills and cutters and they are all branded/labeled but this is pretty geneic.

Very clean surfacing of a black walnut and epoxy clock project. No tear out and blades held up after surfacing two sides of an 18 inch circle. I have a bigger project coming up and am optimistic this will get the job done.

This works quite well and quickly on a CNC router set up.Just make sure you get a very good tram on the router head or you will get ripples in the finish because of the size of the cutter. It did a great job!! Highly recommended!!!

Great bit. I had purchased several other low-priced ones before and I am so glad I upgraded. This is great for the router sled and flattened some large figured black walnut slabs well.

First time buying anything bigger than a 1” Freud bit (because you know what you are getting), and this surpassed all my expectations. Incredibly smooth cut and made it easy to sand after the fact. Replacement blades once dull make it all that much cost effective. Highly recommend!!

I purchased this for my router that I use on my planing rig, it was the best choice and it works wonderfully. Definitely the right tool for the job and the results and finish on my piece was great.

Needed a new leveling bit for my current project ... leveling a walnut-resin slab for a fly tying workbench that I'm making. I like the four carbide cutter blade bits because I knew I could rotate or replace them when they dull with usage. It worked great, left a smooth and very sandable surface with no sign of burning or unusual wear. Recommend!

So many types and styles to choose from. This one was perfect. Carbide blades stayed sharp even in dry hardwood. Can rotate blades when they finally do get dull. Used a 3.25 hp router which was capable of spinning this large bit. Very smooth finish ready for sanding with 220 grit sand paper.Took off 3/8 inch of dry cherry with no problem. Very pleased!
