These worked amazing. I first tried some EC5 that were generic. You had to solder to the pins, then insert the pins in the connector body. I had problems driving the soldered pins into the body. It took a lot of force then ended up just driving all the way through, grrrrr! I tried it several times without any luck.This design already has the pins installed in the body and you solder directly. The body handles the heat no problem. They are more expensive than the generic but absolutely worth the much easier install.

Very well made. I find these easer to work with than EC5 because the contacts are permanently in the shell. You should always mate the connector while soldering to prevent any movement of the contact while hot

When soldered properly it works. Just make sure you use enough solder on the solder joints.

Plug is easy to solder and creates a secure, snug fit. The snap on insulating caps are a nice touch. No heat shrink tubing required.
