So I really needed an intake this weekend because I needed the truck to move and did not want to buy an original filter again. When I tried to install it on tonight it was off by alot I tried everyway possible and the angle was never working felt like the hole on the heatsheld should have been 1or2 inch higher than what it is. 2star because the rest of the kit was pretty decent.

VERY POOR FIT... intake tube hit the exhaust manifold and the battery "distribution block" just beneath the battery. Intake boot for the turbo end way too cheaply made. Was obvious it would collapse during use. It is that thin and very pliable that you can squeeze it together with your hand.

got this for my 2007 dodge ram with the 5.9 l cummins the fit was good took me about 30 min to take out the old intake , remove the silencer ring and install the new intake. no problem to hear the turbo whistle now !!!

You can DEFINITELY hear the turbo after you change this. But that is exactly what I was looking for so if your considering this on a truck that makes long road trips you may get tired of hearing the whistle. It is manageable causing down the highway but if you are under heavy acceleration or pulling a load then it’s very loud. 🤟🏻

Great product. All parts worked. I think some people rate this product at $150 bucks vs a $300 K&N. Everything I put on my truck worked with no problems.

I have purchased, used, and been extremely pleased with spectre products before. But this particular Intake did not fit or have the craftmanship like their other products. The band clamps are very cheaply made. Two of them broke during installation. The rubber elbows are extremely soft rubber and don't have the proper angles. The polished aluminum tube scratches and bends very easy. It looks cheap and hokey. I so disappointed with this purchase. I don't even want to try to return this product or deal with the customer service because I have waisted so much of my time ordering, installing, and refabricating this product. I'm sure I will only be more aggravated with the exchange or return process. I wish I would've spent a little more and gone with something else.

For the price it was great. Would recommend. The bands were nice but did not cinch up real tight. Used original clamps. Worked fine. Would buy again !

The problems I had with this product was that the instructions said that It came with hardware for the 3rd mounting point on the air box and it did not, I used my own hardware. Also, when trying to tighten one of the clams the bolt would not turn and broke off in the threaded part of the clamp. Again I had to buy additional hardware to mount it. The instruction are straight forward and easy to follow and it fits the truck very well.
