I bought this specifically for underwater footage. The Case is nice and air tight. everything worked great! Just keep in mind that the sound will be hard just like every sealed water proof case!

The housing was inexpensive, easy to install and was waterproof to recreational depths. I had no issues during my last weeklong dive trip that included about a dozen dives, the deepest to about 128 feet.Only issue is that my Backscatter Flip lens system doesn't fit on this housing but they make compatible filters.

Considering the price vs the Gopro original dive case, this is a good product.It is not perfect. Mine came with a little glue overrun on the lens at the bottom inside where in the lens meets the lens bracket. It is not visible in the videos, so its not a huge big deal. I tried cleaning it with a few products, and it does not come off. Also, the backdoor had some scuffing on the inside. Again, not a huge big deal. Overall, QC could be better. These two things were immediately visible, and should have not shipped this way. I will upload pictures if I get a chance.Overall, the case seems sturdy and well built (other than mentioned above). The latching mechanism does not feel as bulletproof as Gopro, but if you are at least a little careful with it you can expect it will last. This did come with 3 anti-fog inserts, which was a nice bonus. The lens cover is a good material. Wish it fit a little tighter, but its fine. Dont know how waterproof it is yet, but it seems up to the task. One thing that is a little annoying is that the mounting tabs at the bottom seem to be ever so slightly wider than the other Gopro stuff I have. It takes quite a bit of effort to mate with mounts, and you have to force it in a lot. Much more than I would like. Ive been using Gopro mounts for years now. Ive not seen anything this difficult to mount before.If anyone is wondering, this dive case does work with the Soonsun Floaty Backdoor kit that is also sold on Amazon. That ad is a little deceiving because it says it only works with the original Gopro case and not 3rd party cases. This case is a 3rd party case, so... Anyway, it works just fine with this case. Turns out that backdoor was in better shape than this backdoor, so I am attaching the float to the scuffed backdoor that came with this item and keeping the other one without a float.I would buy this item again, and I do recommend it as good alternative to the expensive Gopro original case. It is not as good quality, but it is acceptable. I am taking away one star for the glue overrun on the lens, the backdoor scuff, and the too wide mount tabs. Considering the price, it is a good value.
