[Easy installation] No built-in battery, using sunlight to charge the battery. You can install it in any outdoor location. Simply punch a hole in the wall, install a 360° rotable wall bracket facing the solar panels in direct sunlight, and then connect a 9.8 foot (3 m) charging cable with a fork connector to any 2 ports on the back of the doorbell battery. Choose the best Angle to get plenty of sunlight.

Works great so far. Installation was easy. Cord supply seems pleanty long for most applications. When jnstalled battery was at 90%. By noon on a cloudy day battery reads 100%. Impressed so far. Hopefully it was last. I ordered two more for my additional cameras. If you have battery operated ring doorbell pro you need one of these.

Where I live I am always getting clouds or some tree leaves shading it so, if its only 4or 5 watts, ( which i understand would be fine in hot scorching sun, as to not overchargesomething,) but if I get the more shade--- then the 7 watts will be cut down to the 5 and Iwill still have enough!!

This solar panel for the Ring Doorbell is perfect! Right out of the box, I took it outside into full sun, connected it to my Ring device, and within minutes, the Ring app showed it as hardwired.
