The rubber mouthpiece offers a warmer and softer option compared to stainless steel. The single joint applies a nut cracker action which applies pressure to the tongue, the bars of the mouth and the horse's palate.

My horse is in a 4.75 inch full cheek and I needed a slightly larger bit. This one was supposed to be a 5 inch and this was printed on the bit, but it was SO much smaller than my 4.75 inch! Also, the bit quality was not what I expect of Korsteel. The metal was uneven in spots, not smooth. I am suspicious that this was not an authentic korsteel.
