Your cart is empty. This Snugpak Poncho liner is not your fathers or grandfathers poncho liner. Unlike the older square shaped style poncho liner, many have come to know the Snugpak poncho liner has a dedicated hood with draw cord as well as dedicated sleeves. No more cold.

This is an impressive liner. It seems warm though I have yet to take it in the field. I wish it had some tie down points or small grommets but no big deal, they can be added as necessary.

The poncho liner is well made and comfortable it fits well under the poncho and has good coverage over myself and my backpack

This liner and the poncho it is designed for really take care of a lot of weather scenarios: poncho only for rain, liner only for a bit of cold, the two combined for rain or high wind and cold. Having full sleeves is what makes it so different. Saved me on a yakpacking trip that got unexpectedly windy and cold. Stows easily too.

Great to keep warm if your backpacking or not, (I car/tent camp). I deducted 1 star because is so crunched in the bag, it took 2 people to get it out and I haven’t been able to get the incredible amount of wrinkles off even though is been used and out of the bag for several weeks. I know I’ll never be able to stuff it again, so I got another compression sack which is not a big deal because this liner is great and still well worth it.

Very thick, warm liner. Can’t wait to try it out this fall but fits the poncho very nice

This is my go to blanket, woobie, liner, sleeping bag when I need something light and multipurpose. It's a tad smaller than my military version, but the hood is very handy. The lining that touches the skin is also a little more comfortable than the military style linwe, as it has a cotton(ish) feel, and does not cause perspiration to build and then turn cold. As with even the military liners, it can be bulky in the pack, but it's multiuse capability allows it to replace a sleeping bag if combined with a poncho.I will be adding grommets or snaps to increase the usability.

I bought this poncho liner to use while I hunt. I took it up to Maine and used it in temperatures down to 10 degrees. It is nice and compact when it is in its compression sack and I was able to carry it in a very small back pack that I carry in the field. The first time I used it I was on a piece of high ground that was very windy. The ambient temperature was 10 degrees with ice covered snow on the ground. I used my pack as a seat and settled in against a tree stump. I wrapped the poncho liner around me from my feet to my neck. I was hunting with a handgun in a chest holster so I was able to keep my hands under the liner while having access to my weapon. I activated an extra large hand warmer and put it under the poncho liner. I could not believe how warm I was under the liner. I I sat there for several hours and never got cold. This was by far the most comfortable I have ever been in those kind of conditions. The only negative is that I wish the sleeves and head opening were larger. I wear 2 XL shirts so I am a big guy. I was able to put the liner on over a winter coat with several layers under it but it felt too restrictive. A smaller person would probably have no problem. The bottom line is that I love how compact it is when stowed and how warm is is. This thing would be awesome for football games and other outdoor events. I do wish they made a version without sleeves but I have no regrets about this purchase.

Good size, good quality poncho liner, but the stuff sack is substantially too small. I can't even get the liner all into the stuff sack, let alone begin to use the compression straps. I'm panning on contacting snugpak to see if they'll provide a larger compression sack.I bought because I was so impressed with their travelpak 2, great bag and that stuffsack works brilliantly, easy to stuff, then can cinch down if desired. The poncho liner is basically a rectangular blanket, with the sleeves and hood being additional fabric sewn on. If you lay it out, it is a rectangular shape, so in addition to being a sort of jacket, it can be used as you might use the jungle blanket: blanket, top quilt, or underneath one layer of a dual layer hammock as an underquilt substitute.

The only thing I found wrong with it was that the Snugpak waterproof Poncho does not cover the bottom of ths Poncho liner so it could get wet in rain.It can used as a normal blanket or worn as in the picture. Overall though I love it.

This poncho is amazing! Solid construction, over-sized in the back to accommodate your pack. Excellent quality. Would have liked the poncho to have multiple uses built in. Other than that, this is real gem. FYI: anyone planning on purchasing the Snugpak poncho liner with the line needs to try everything on before rating the equipment. By themselves, it seems they are out of alignment, and that the liner hangs about a good 12 inches below the ponch. But once you put your pack over the liner, and under the poncho, you will find the materials adjust to line up, and that the ponch covers the front of the liner. This poncho breathes well, is generously cut (good for privacy when squatting in the woods), and somehow stays out of the way, despite not having a waist since or rope. Very happy with the enormous size, and with the great quality of this gear.

As a complement to the Snugpak Poncho, the liner is very good. Dimension-wise, it's a bit longer on the front than the poncho, and shorter in the back. Like the poncho, it has sleeves, but the liner also has slits below the sleeves like a normal GI Poncho Liner, whereas the Snugpak Poncho is solid all around. The sleeved design limits the flexibility of the liner, so you can't use it the same way you would use a GI liner. That said, the Snugpak Liner is MUCH warmer than the GI one, and has replaced my old winter coat that I've worn for the past 7 years. One thing that isn't mentioned in the product description is how well this thing compresses. When you get it, the liner will be stuffed in a bag a little taller and just as wide as a 32oz Nalgene bottle. If you take the liner out and put the bottle in, you can close the pouch above the bottle just fine and have a plenty of wiggle room. So, if you want to carry this as an emergency or packed item, go grab a water bottle and throw it around your pack to see how well it will fit and add about an inch to the length. It does take up more room than the Snugpak Poncho since it's thicker, but it's not much bigger than the poncho when rolled up and compressed.Compared to the GI poncho liner, this one is much warmer, stores much smaller, but has less utility.
