Went with S&W as I trust their quality. Didnt let me down. Simple and effective cleaning kit. Great for the range bag, as it is tiny and very lightweight. It is very complete and sturdy brushes.- If you are looking for a rugged kit, this may not be the best option for you. As I said, it is portable, light and small (qualities I appreciate but not everyone does)

I have not used it yet but coming from Smith & Wesson I don't think there's going to be a problem. I've used there products for years with no issue's so I don't foresee a problem.

I got this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and he immediately used it as soon as he opened the package. It did everything it is advertised to do and left him very happy and satisfied with his cleaning. He was like a kid in a candy store and was very impressed with how clean this kit got his firearm. He had previously used a cheap one from academy and while it did a good job this one did a better job and got what the previous cleaning missed. Overall, very satisfied and would purchase again.

What a disappointment for a product with the Smith and Wesson name. The cleaning-patch attachment fitting is plastic & broke off the cleaning rod as soon as I tried to use it. Plastic threads break very easily. Not worth it. There is another company that uses metal threads and looks almost like the same kit for cheaper. Absolutely the cheapest kit I have ever used. Don't waste your money. This product is junk!!!

My S&W Gun Cleaning Kit just arrived today - when I first looked at the packaging, I thought I made a mistake - the packaging was so petite (see first 2 pics). However, once I opened and put together the Rod Assembly, I realized it was simply packaged compactly and had all the essential cleaning items that I needed (exception being Oil, Cleaner, and Dispenser bottle which I purchased separately. I had also previously purchased extra cleaning patches so I would never run out. This kit will cover all 3 of my handguns (9 mm, 40 Cal, and 10 mm). Note: 40 Cal is of course the same bore size as 10 mm. I'm confident this kit will do just fine, will be convenient to pack/carry, and will last a long time. Great Gun Cleaning Kit at a reasonable price!

For a product endorsed by Smith and Wesson, the boar brushes were a disappointment. Instead of using brass handles they brushes are set in cheap aluminum handles that are four sided crimped which in my case misaligned all four brushes slightly and leaves a lip around the brush stem. Straightening the brushes is not a big deal but for the price should not have to be done. I purchased this kit specifically for an M&P Shield Plus. I have used the product now to clean my shield once and am updating this review with some tips. The nylon jags are fine and will work to push a cleaning patch soaked with bore solvent.1. Trim the patch that comes with the kit down to about 3/4th patch and it will go thru easier.2. Let the barrel sit for 5 to 10 minutes before running the 9 MM bore brush thru the barrel from the breach end. I had to use the complete rod with the handle the first time and then could use only the top rod and bore brush. Remove the brush after it comes out the muzzle end and do not run it backwards thru the barrel. I ran the brush thru the barrel 3 times and then switched over to a dry patch with the smaller slot patch tool. This worked fine to finish out the barrel. Again trim the supplied patch down to about 3/4th patch and it will work better.3. Use the supplied brush to clean the inside of the slide where it contacts the slide rails. And then wipe down with a dry patch several times to remove the rest of the fouling which will happen. Probably with most pistol too.4. Follow the lubrication directions for the Plus or your pistol.5. Follow the reassembly directions.6. I finished with a silicone cloth wipe of the slide outside to finish the pistol7. Wipe down the outside of the magazines and wipe off the feed blocks of the junk from shooting. A dry patch will work here.8. The last part of clean up is YOU. Wash hands with soap and a fingernail brush at least twice to get all solvent and other chemicals off your skin.The kit is a nice kit set into a soft sided zipper case for easy carry. I like the nylon jags because IMO they would be less likely to scratch the bore than brass jags which are standard in some of the other more extensive kits.This kit is one of those personal decisions that each buyer has to make for themselves.

Ho ricevuto la borsetta con gli attrezzi. Manca il cursore della cerniera ed è impossibile chiuderla. Ho fatto richiesta di reso e sono andato per ricomprare l'articolo ed è aumentato di 4 euro.Potrei cercare un'altra borsetta per contenere il kit.. ma vorrei che mi proponessero uno sconto...A queste condizioni non lo ricompro più..Inoltre il kit mi serviva.

UPDATE: Replacement arrived very fast, no issues with replacement item, maybe just got a lemon with the first order. Last two pics are of replacement item. Rating changed to reflect replacement.First thing I noticed was the m&p logo was no where near straight. Whatever, not a big deal I can live with it. Out of the box for 2 minutes and the back snap fell off so the cleaning supplies just fall out of the case when you open it. Overall pretty disappointing . Returning it and requesting a swap, will update when it arrives.
