This building square is made of aluminum and is very light weight. The markings are easy to read, even for an old guy. It has a nice red finish and will last a lifetime. I only wish it was larger; however, for small jobs, it works well.

This square is basically good but with some problems. First is that the pin's diameter is greater than the holes and it will not fit. Second, only the pencil lead fits the holes and not the tube that supports the lead. So your lead is very easy to break when using these holes. However, if you happen to have a 0.5 mm pencil, it fits perfectly. Also, the lettering appears to be painted on and may wear off in time.

The holes in the square itself are too small for the lead of the pencil to go through. Therefore the lead breaks every time you try to mark something.
