Whether at your business or home, Call2Recycle battery recycling kits allow you to safely and responsibly recycle dry cell single-use batteries, rechargeable batteries and cellphones. This pre-built counter-top display kit includes all packing materials to safely collect and ship batteries and cellphones back to Call2Recycle. A promotional poster is also included in your first order. The kit is permitted to hold up to 66 pounds, but typically holds between 20 to 25 pounds depending upon the types and sizes being recycled. Accepted batteries include: Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), Small Sealed Lead Acid (SSLA/Pb), Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), Lithium Primary, Alkaline, Carbon Zinc, Button and Coin cell. Individual batteries must be no larger than 300Wh. All cellphones are accepted regardless of size, make, model or age.

Every battery is supposed to be individually wrapped. Not enough bags included to fill the box and when I do that, it doesn’t hold many batteries. I’ve found another recycle box that doesn’t require that and I can put a lot more in without the hassle of individually wrapping them.

This item is a bit pricey, but does offer recycling for alkaline batteries that most sites will not accept. The unit has pre-paid postage for returning, although that must occur within one year.... not a big issue if you collect a lot of batteries before ordering the kit.

Great way to recycle batteries at home. I put the box in a closet and all the dead batteries that used to get thrown away go in the recycle box. Once full (after a year mines less than 25% full) ship back to recycler with included prepaid label.If you don’t have easy battery recycling in your locality this will make the process easier and make you feel a lot better about doing your part.
