This lighting kit is like the Mary Poppins of photography gear: pops open, works wonders, and makes you look like you know what you're doing (even if you don’t). The umbrellas? Delightfully sturdy, like they could double as props for a dramatic sing-along in the rain—though I wouldn’t recommend trying to fly with them unless you want to meet the pavement instead of Mr. Banks.The 400W 5500K daylight bulbs shine brighter than my future career as a photographer, and the setup is beginner-friendly—just don’t forget which way is up. Whether you’re shooting portraits or creating your very own spoonful-of-sugar content, this kit brings the attitude and the altitude. Chim-chim-che-rific!

I go this to do photos and videos as well as some amateur green screen filming. I am still experimenting with the lighting. So far, I have not been able to eliminate the ghosting and halo from the shots. The photos come out great, though, and eliminate the awkward highlights from the shots. Non-green screen videos came out pretty good, too. I like that there are both white, and black umbrella diffusers in case you have situations where you need to tone down the light. I should mention, too, I am not using a very good camera. Other people may have different outcomes.

Set up is simple and easy, carrying bags are a definite plus. Bulbs could be a little brighter but overall, a great starter kit for a home studio

I got these for my craft studio so I could make tutorial videos and they work well! Perfect for what I needed and give so much light. Easy to set up and great quality! Would definitely recommend!

I am not a pro by any means but wanted to add a little lighting to my photos as I'm learning more about photography. These are really great quality for the price! I used a backdrop and small area and the lighting was perfect! Buy them!

Excellent for the price, but probably not the best for your needs. Another lightbox that I purchased comes with a much brighter bulb, this is only medium bright. When I tried to change bulbs, most of the other ones I tried wouldn't work - the brighter bulbs are larger and hit the umbrella pole. I couldn't find an appropriate replacement bulb. I also wanted a gold umbrella for portrait work, and they only have white, so I was a bit disappointed that this was all I could buy. They EASILY TIP OVER. If you put a heavier bulb in, then they WILL tip over. You can solve this by putting sand bags on the legs at floor level. So, if you want exactly what they have, this is great for a beginner. If you want higher quality with more flexible uses, look elsewhere. Recommended for the lower price, not for usability.

These lights are a fantastic value. I was initially hesitant to order them because of the low price, but I am very pleased with this purchase. The pair of lights arrived in perfect condition and exactly as described. The quality is good; the lights would not withstand prolonged heavy commercial use, but they are great for light to medium use. I have used them with the white umbrellas for portrait photos and for recording close-up video for online use, and I am very pleased with the results. I recommend these lights to anyone with similar needs.
