A great alternative to the plastic cone of shame that the vets discharge your pets with

Works good. Kept my dog away from his hotspot. He adapted to this well.

I doubt this will work for any dog that has a long snout and any flexibility.

I measured my dog’s neck and bought a large based on a 16” measurement. While my dog is able to sleep in the donut comfortably and does not freak out in it like she does a cone, I was woken up this morning to the sound of licking. Unfortunately, despite following the size chart, she is still able to reach her incision.

I have a fat lab who had two back to back ACL surgeries and could not figure out how to life with the cone of shame on. He was messing up my walls with it. This fixed it all. Could he get to his stitches if he really wanted to? Yes. And he is plump. But he is an obedient dog and listens to us when we catch him. We used this when his healing was just too itchy for him to resist. Once this was on he understood the assignment and left them alone. He was still miserable and ashamed of his life choices. It allowed him to drink his water Any time he needed to so I would suggest getting this for that reason alone.

The vet sent her home with the cone of shame. She was miserable, running into walls and doorways. With this inflatable doughnut she hardly seems to notice it, yet it keeps her away from her stitches. Plus it’s got a fun design. Made the two weeks much more tolerable for her. The zipper didn’t last more than a week but it was still usable for two weeks.

it's not big enough on a medium-sized dog to stop them from reaching around the area and licking. Looked great and seemed comfortable but when time came to use it wasn't any help and had to get a cone instead.

These are completely useless if you expect to leave your dog unsupervised. We had our two 9 month old puppies spayed and neutered and wanted to give them an alternative to the hard plastic e-collars the vet provided. While these are certainly more comfortable for the puppies, they are also hazardous. There’s nothing to stop them from spinning around freely and once the strap part connecting the two halves is in front of their mouths they can (and do) easily chew on it. On top of that, it does not prevent either one of my puppies from reaching their incision sites. Very disappointing.I chose this item because it was highly rated, but when I look at the other reviews I see repeated mention of poop bags. Clearly this listing used to be for a different product and they were able to somehow keep the reviews and apply them toward this new listing. Extremely deceptive and frustrating.

This is an inflatable donut, which is pleasantly convenient to store, it's lightweight, and comfortable for my labradoodle. The fabric is cool to the touch, like lycra or polyester. The sewing quality is good and it took 6 big breaths (yes, I counted 😊) to inflate the XL SIZE donut.Bonus features I like are that it comes with a buckle style collar clip on the inside ring which makes the size adjustment a breeze. The front of the donut also HAS a leash ring attachment, which made it easy to clip on and go when leaving the vet.Size and dimensions: my labradoodle weighs 65 lbs. And her collar length is 16.5". We got the XL size and it fit perfectly. The L could have been a great fit as well.
