It works but the wires are to short and I needed to extend 4 wires what could lead to wire corrosion in the future.

Well after reading other reviews, some good some not so much, I decided to buy this stator. Like some other reviews, this stator is made with wires that are about 4" too short. My engine is a 1980 70hp Mercury 3 cylinder, I triple checked part numbers and this stator is advertised as being a direct replacement for my engine. Be aware, the pictures are accurate and you can see the wires are short, but I took the chance anyways. Ended up sending back and getting a partial refund due to a ridiculously priced restocking fee. A lot of sellers are selling this stator that is being falsely advised so hopefully the vendors or manufacturer will correct this issue. I ended up buying a CDI brand stator that has extra long wires and bolted right up, it's manufactured much better, made in the U.S.A and was close to the same price. I reccomend going with CDI by far.

I purchased this product as a direct replacement for the stator on my Mercury 70hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke motor and although the product looks identical, the wiring harness is significantly shorter. I installed my stator backwards (180 degrees) in order to get to fit with the existing wiring harness. Although I do have spark now, I seem to have a problem with timing, and the motor is not performing as well as it did. Now I either have to cut and splice the wires on a brand new stator to install it correctly, or I purchase another product. I'm a bit disappointed. Even though the product was cheaper than purchasing from CDI or alternative companies, it now requires more work and I'll have a hacked up harness.

Nearly an exact replacement. Wire length was right on. Wire insulation maybe slightly thinner. Solved an above idle misfire related to supply voltage to switch box.

Horrible part , 18 gauge wire to short to even make it to power pack and it burnt out in two days , I work on outboard motors on a daily basis and thought there had to be a reason why the pricE was so much Lower than anywhere else . Now I know why. Do not buy this product if you want your motor to staY running
