I had a hard time finding a 30" or less shoe bench. This one fit perfectly. I put it together in about 30-45min while I was watching TV by myself. The cushion on the top is very thin and initially I thought it looked cheap but it is firm and once actually on the bench it fits perfectly. Sadly, my long-haired gray cat loves to lay on it so it is constantly covered in kitty fuzz. I liked that it has drawers, I used those for hot hands and sunglasses. I found the Walmart medium decorative storage bins fit exactly for hat and mitten storage. I do not use this to store shoes at all. The doors are very light but close appropriately and stay closed due to a magnet. Once together it feels sturdy, it did not wobble with 250lbs of weight on it.

Nice piece of solid furniture for the front hallway. Hardwood, nice paint finish. Lots of parts but good instructions and everything lined up as designed. No complaints.

I have an alcove as I enter my house from the garage that is a strange size, and it took me awhile to figure out how to use it. This bench fits perfectly and I'm very happy with it. It's a place to sit to put on or take off shoes or to drop items that I need to remember to take with me when I leave home.I thought I would need help putting it together so I left it in the package for several weeks -- long enough that when I finally opened it and found out a piece was missing, it was far too late to return it. And it would have been a pain to return anyhow because it was very heavy.However, the instructions included an email address for customer support. So I contacted them and they responded the next morning! They then shipped the missing piece promptly.In fact, I could have put it together myself. There were a couple of times when it was useful for my daughter to balance a piece while I screwed something in, but I certainly could have figured it out had I done it alone. I only needed a phillips screwdriver. No glue, no hammering.You do have to pay attention to the direction of a few pieces so that the drawers fit properly, but for the most part things only fit one way. And, if you do it wrong, it's very simple to unscrew a few things and put it back together correctly.It was packed nicely so that all the components were protected from being dented or scratched. The missing piece was the back, a slim lightweight component that likely was supposed to be dropped on top of everything but wasn't. While the shipping box is very heavy, the individual components are not, so once you have the box opened you don't need lots of muscles.

It's a great piece of furniture and we love it. Easy to put together. One of the parts was not machined completely (was missing a few holes), but customer service was great and responsive, they quickly sent out a replacement part, free of charge. I love it!

This item assembled easily and looks like the picture. But it is shorter than I imagined - it is about the size of a foot locker. We can fit 8 pair of shoes - so each of us get four pair in the front hall. The bench feels very low for adults - but great for kids - nevertheless we still sit on it together put our shoes on - so it can bear over 400lbs easily. Our previous shoe holder that my dogs broke was much larger, so it could have set my expectations wrong. However, because it is smaller the dogs don't run into it when they are running to the door to bark at the Amazon delivery person :)

Love the shoe bench , need to modify the white cover ( get dirty so easily ) , doors need to be more align . To close the doors , I need to lift it up and adjust them ( both doors ) .Thank you

The instructions on this item were some of the best we’ve seen! EVERTHING was labeled-even the little bags of screws, nuts and bolts! I’m the one that usually reads the instructions and gets the next set of parts out and then I tell my husband where they’re supposed to go (usually the hardest parts of putting something together)! This bench was so easy to identify the parts that I had the easy job. It’s nice, substantial, all parts were there and in perfect condition. The only thing that cheapens it is the little piece of padding for the seat. It’s very plain and the padding is non-existent basically. I’m going out to find some pillows today to dress it up a little. Overall though, we’re very satisfied with this bench!

The product is nice looking. It was easy to assemble and took me maybe an hour. It is definetly sturdy. I am glad I purchased it and have considered adding 2" lifts under it to see if it would be easier to get up from on my aging back. The only thing that would make it better would be if the cushion cover wasn't white. I am considering creating a pattern and making my own replacement cover.
