This is a great long sleeve base layer with a built in neck guard from a brand that I trust. The neck guards are required now for my daughters' youth hockey teams so we were looking for neck guards that were comfortable, provided good flexibility and functionality, while also providing good value for the money. Since she already wears a base layer under her jersey it makes sense to integrate a neck guard into the outfit. I like that this not only makes one less item that we have to remember to pack, but also that the fact that the neck guard is attached to the shirt means that in my mind it stays in place better than a free standing one. Both my daughters think this is comfortable and allows them to move their neck around easily.

We purchased an XS for my almost 5 yr old boy who is 43” and 45 lbs to meet the hockey neck guard requirement and he is swimming in it!!! 6+ extra inches in each arm.

This shirt is a game changer for my little hockey player. Have the neck guard built in is genius because you can't lose it or forget to put it on. We have worn and washed it several times. It keeps is shape, fits like a glove. She loves the way it fits under her gear. The neck is way more comfortable than having a separate neck guard on.

While I always thought hockey was interesting, I didn't really get into it until my kids expressed an interest. Now, I'm all in. I now have three kids playing hockey and all are wearing at least one shock doctor product, if not two. This shirt is great. It wicks the sweat away, protects the neck without suffocating the kiddo, and the rubberized sleeves help keep the elbow pads in place. We had a separate neck guard for about a year and while I liked that, it was kinda easy to displace unless I put it on crazy tight. With this one, no issue. Great product. I dig this company... nice work!

This is a great base shirt for my child to wear under his hockey jersey. The built in neck guard is awesome and it means one less thing for us to remember to pack!The shirt is loose enough to not be constricting, but tight enough to provide that extra protection. The sleeve are a little long, but not long enough to where they get in the way.

I ordered this shirt with built in neck guard for my 11U hockey player, who can be a bit particular about his equipment and sensitive to itchy clothes or tags. He loved it! The fit looked great. He liked the integrated neck guard. I was worried he'd complain about the grips on the sleeve making his elbow pads feel different than he's used to, but he didn't notice a difference one way or the other. I like that this one is machine washable, as the other integrated shirts I've bought in the past were hand wash only. We'll see how it holds up long term. Will update if the neck starts to fold over or the velcro fails.

I ordered this for my ten year old, going by height and neck circumference for sizing. (His chest size fell into Adult but his height and neck are still Youth). This turned out to be the right approach as the shirt fits great and isn't too tight in the chest. It is well sewn out of good stretchy fabric. My ten year old is able to take it on and off himself. The neck guard is a nice feature as they are now required. But I also really like the sleeves with no slip grip that can be folded up over your elbow pads. The sleeves are extra long for this reason. Great product! Very happy.
