I had this in a re-warming cabinet. Temp never got over 165F. I used it two times, it now shows temps all over the place, from -30 up to 200 when the probe is at ambient temp. I replaced with another T/C and I replaced with just a piece of K type wire with the ends twisted together to make sure this was not a problem with the T/C amplifier or something else, both others were within .2F of each other. This T/C is dead. Of course the return window closed already
