so I have a vintage craftsman crosspeen 2lb forging hammer I have been using for several decades. well... loaned it out and iy came back with no handle... drats! well this hand is very clise in color, eye shape and size. I am bummed the wedge came broken but I can grab a froe/knife and make a wedge up. the big pita is splitting and shaping a new handle. will be buying more in the future.

Product is advertised as a 1 3/16 x 11/16 FLAT eye. The eye on the delivered units are oval and cannot be used.

the item was described as a flat eye handle. the item shipped as an oval eye so of no use to me.

Broke my hand held sledge handle. Had to sand down the insert a little, but eventually got it to fit and it seems to be of excellent quality.
