Not the best, did not work for me. Maybe I did something wrong but the leak in the pipe persisted. Had to replace the faulty part to properly fix. Maybe this will work in some other situation.

I purchased this specifically to repair a rip in my water hose.. did not hold up at all.Update. This seller was conscientious enough to offer a refund or replacement for the poor quality experience. I must give them additional stars for their efforts.

I was wondering why my water bill was going up. I live alone and couldn't understand why my water bill was pricey. I found this leak while doing my yard. It took a couple of attempts but I was able to stop this leak until I have a time to fix it properly. I was able to do this while it had an active pinhole leak. I would wager the best way to do this is when the pipe is not leaking... nonetheless I got it done.. I'm thinking about buying more of this to wrap my pipes that don't leak just to protect them from Landscaping people Etc...

First time using this product followed the instructions but the tape would not stick to anything not even to its self. Tried several times before giving up.The tape seamed old and dry, it did have strectch to it but that was all.Should have returned it but use all of it trying to see if it got any better as I got deeper into the roll and they don't give you much to work with anyway.Ended up replacing the pipe anyway was just trying to postpone it till the weather was warmer.

We had a substantial leak in our mop sink drain plumbing around the u joint. The old pipe was literally coming off in chunks. I'm amazed at how well ithis stuff wrapped around the uneven texture. My tip is to make sure each wrap around of tape is covering the last layer by at least 40%. This ensures a proper seal. Don't be tempted to jump areas either, start above the leak by a few inches and wrap past the leak by about 3". Add secondary layer if needed.Very clean sticks to itself but doesn't have adhesive. Very happy 😊

The material arrived freshly sealed in plastic which is of utmost importance. I've used this tape for diverse applications over the years and I have discovered a few important things about working with it. The first inclination is to try and hold the full roll in one hand while wrapping the tape with the other. What you will find out very soon is that you need a third hand to deal with the clear vinyl release backing. This maneuver is close to impossible and completely unnecessary. Since this material bonds with itself it is preferable to cut lengths into manageable sections (10 to 12 inches) depending on how much room you have to work in and how experienced you are with this material. Slightly stretching, overlapping and pressing the tape onto itself at the beginning of each "section" applied is of key importance. Also, when beginning a section, trim off the first 4 to 5 inches of the release material so it does not interfere with starting the section. When you are halfway through the wrapping of that section, you can strip away the rest of the cellophane release and successfully hold the tape away from itself. For plumbing applications, stretching and "back-wrapping" while binding is especially important along joints/elbows etc. It is a good idea to stretch and "Back-wrap" the tape at the very end if the job then gently squeeze the entire application with firm even pressure to assure that all surfaces are bonded to each other. Tightly store the unused roll in a plastic bag to keep in supple and ready for the next job. Incidentally, if you ever need to remove this tape, forget about unwrapping it because it has become one single solid "tube" of "rubber". The only way to free it is to slice down the middle with a utility knife and peel the two halves away.
