Love the clock! Beautiful to look at Chimes are lovely and keeps perfect time The only major fault I find is the pendulum swings to quickly and if you are looking at it, it unnerves you Makes you feel like you’re watching a hypnotist running late for work Definitely not relaxing as a pendulum should be

It’s great to look at and listen to! The first day it didn’t chime on the quarter hour, but we let it run and it started to work correctly after a few hours. I love that you can make the chimes louder or softer. It sounds a lot like my old, expensive clock that finally broke. I love it.

This clock does NOT have a Westminster chime. It does sound very tinny random notes (7-8) on each quarter hour. The sound is unpleasant and forms no tune... just random notes. The clock body itself is attractive but not even worth 1/4 of the price with this painful noise bursting forth every 15 minutes.

I loved the look of this clock. It was exactly what I was wanted but unfortunately, the dial in the back that controls the volume wouldn't move so I couldn't turn it down. Also, it didn't chime at the right times!! It was supposed to chime at the quarter hour but it was always off by 2 or 3 minutes. I was so disappointed b/c the wooden case, the face, the pendulum all had a very nice, high quality look........I really wanted to keep the clock but the chime was way too loud and I couldn't adjust it and the chime chiming NOT at the right time was irritating. I cannot find another clock that I like.

Nice style and keeps accurate time. Great for mantel or bookcase. Only negative is pendulum stopped swinging shortly after arrival. Clock is battery powered and not dependent on pendulum action so we kept it. Disappointing but stylish

Beautiful piece and easy to adjust for home setting. The first time it sounded the hour, wow it was loud. But have it set now so that soft chime is not intrusive and part of the homescape. Oh and no complaints on the timekeeping either. Seiko is still a great go-to brand.

This is a beautiful clock, but the chimes are very electronic-sounding. If you are used to or looking for the true bell sound of a grandfather clock, the sound on this will be disappointing.

Love the mantle clock! Quality, perfect sound, and style all wrapped up in this clock. Reminds me of the mantle clock I grew up with and it is a calming aura when it chimes.
