The See All circular acrylic Heavy Duty outdoor convex security mirror is a circular, convex, acrylic mirror for outdoor use that reflects a wide angle image at a diminished size to extend a field of view to help a person see around obstacles for safety, or monitor a wide area for efficient surveillance. Acrylic is shatter resistant, weighs less than glass, and reflects a clear, bright image. The mirror comes with mounting hardware that makes the mirror angle adjustable after installation. It has an ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic backing for resistance to impact and wear, with a vinyl-coated aluminum edge for weather resistance in outdoor applications.

Safety mirrors are sometimes called security mirrors, and they can be used to extend the view of security personnel, or to help monitor factory workers and automated processes to improve quality control and productivity. For convex mirrors, objects will appear to be further away than they are, and will be easier to see in a larger mirror. Depending on visibility conditions and the viewer's eyesight, objects will usually be recognizable within about 1 ft. of distance (including distance from eye to mirror, and from mirror to object) for each inch in mirror diameter.

I purchased this for our neighborhood. We live on a dead end road and our access to the main rod is after a curve in the middle of a hill. We needed the mirror to see if any cars were coming up the hill before we pull out. We had a small mirror but it was too small to see very far. This 48" mirror lets us see around the curve and all the way down the hill. The neighborhood is happy!

We've had this mirror for almost two years and LOVE it. I'm wondering how to get in contact with the seller as we need new brackets. After several windstorms our 48" mirror acted as a kite and finally snapped one of the brackets. The second bracket is severely bent. I would love to order two news ones to replace the old, but can't seem to find out how to get in touch with the seller SeeAll.I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to see around bends in the road.

If you feel like spending about $200 for a mirror which will literally fall apart in little more than a year, go for it! I personally find that's too much money for a poor quality mirror. I contacted SeeAll about the poor quality and here was the response:This is an outdoor mirror with a black ABS plastic back It has a vinyl coated aluminum edge on it. This product has a 1 year limited warranty which as you mentioned has passed already. We have sold thousands of these and have almost no complaints. Outside mirrors have many different factors from wind to weather to mounting types and our mirrors will hold up in normal conditions very well but it seems in your case that did not happen. We can not control that.Our farm is in Virginia which isn't known for weather extremes as we are well protected by the mountains.

Hmmm.....put this up on a pole in the am today.....a fairly heavy rain moved through in the pm and the mirror piece blew off....not sure if I just received a defective product or if this just isn't designed well enough for the outdoors?!?!?! Very strange considering the 4 star reviews...

This is a great mirror. However, I purchased it for a job, and the client found it to be too big - the neighbors complained. I'm replacing it with a 36"
