This thing drops stitches so much, you’re better off just hand knitting. This is absolutely not worth the time, effort, headache, or energy. Poor quality.

I like this very much; I went on You Tube to watch someone cast and uncast and it helped me. I practiced first with the yarn that came with it, and the product was nice.

The machine I received drops stitches & it didn’t matter how slowly I turned the handle. Stitch dropping is very frustrating. Several times I had to remove what was already done & undo all the stitches as I saw no way to fix the area of dropped stitches once past the white peg. On a non-mechanized loom, you don’t have to remove the entire project to fix a missed stitch. I bought the Sentro because using a non-mechanized loom was becoming difficult for my hands. I don’t feel the yarn thickness was the problem as I used the same thickness as was used in numerous videos on the Sentro. Maybe the machine is defective & I was the lucky recipient. I watched every turn & I didn't see the dropped stitch until it was too late. Every. Single. Time.

This circle knitting machine works well to make hats as long as the instructions are followed correctly. If the yarn has too much tension or the hat is dragging on the table, it will skip stiches leaving holes or pearl instead of knitting which makes the pattern look off. If the yarn has the right amount of tension and the hat is rolled up in the middle to prevent dragging, it works well and I can make a finished double layer hat in 30-40 minutes. I'm using this knitter to make hats for the less fortunate while using up my yarn stash. It's much quicker than hand knitting and keeping the unused yarn out of the landfill a while longer. It is plastic so it probably won't work long if a drill attachment is used since it isn't designed for that speed. It is a bit difficult to anchor if you dont have a smooth, non-porous surface for the suction cup feet to stick to. I just put my left arm through and hold one leg in the bend of my elbow and another leg with my hand. The arm exercise is good for me.

This is the fourth 40 pin I shave tried and sent back. This one however, although noisy and one of the dividers is pretty sharp, ( I will file it down) so it catches the yarn. It does work better than the others. It has neat stitches and the crank handle doesn't grind so I think this one will be a keeper.

I bought this as a gift for my sister, and she said it was a great time-saver, allowing her to crochet even faster. The best part is that she has put down those cigarettes, which is a bonus gift. Her hands are busy now, LOL. She said that in the beginning, it was challenging and required focus, but once she got the hang of it, it became easier to get the job done.
