The gun is very useful for wax sealing and other uses. The cord is really small which is a little bit annoying, but you can always use an extension cord. I'm also not sure if it's supposed to have a function on the trigger that allows it to dispense a "controlled" amount, because sometimes it does that and other times it doesn't. It also tends to leak out a bit of the wax, so make sure you place it on top of something to protect the surface you have it on. Overall, good product.

Quick heads up for brides wanting Pinterest-worthy wedding invites! I didn’t know this prior to ordering this kit, but adding a wax seal to envelopes drives up the postage price due to them needing to be processed by hand rather than machine. At my post office, it would change the price from $0.68 to $1.12. Definitely worth checking with your post office if you like the idea of wax seals! Luckily I was able to cancel this order before it shipped. I am going to keep the stamp I ordered and buy a few wax sticks from Michael’s so I can have a few fancy envelopes for photos and what not. Just wanted to leave this here to hopefully help someone!

I bought this to use for my wedding invites and it works well, but make sure to use a mat underneath, because it does leak wax when sitting. Glue gun gets a little hotter than wax needs to be, so the wax bubbles some. For a beginner in wax sealing, it was perfect and the invites turned out gorgeous.

Gets way too hot causing the wax to bubble. I’ll turn it on for a bit to heat the wax then turn it off for a long period of time so the wax comes out without being over heated

I need to wax seal my wedding invites and this help speed up my process!!! Works very well with wax just be careful it gets very hot!

If you want to use this item as a hot glue gun it’s great. However, it does not have a temperature setting so it gets too hot for wax seals. Causes bubbles in the wax and unusable end product.

I use it for my packaging and it works great. Heats up fast, cools down slow. I like the on/off switch my old one didn't have that.
