Ski didn’t go well from a stop, it would rev loudly until you eased into the throttle to get it going. Looked at the wear ring and it was missing pieces out of it. I used a long punch to drive the old one out. The new ring was in the freezer and tapped easily in to place. Night and day difference. It pulls so hard from a stop that you really have to hang on.

Dropped right in after freezing. After coming to room temperature the ring is tight and clearance is perfect. Nothing beats OEM specs.

Perfect OEM fit. Put in freezer overnight. Drops right in. Way better than cheap substitutes. SeaDoo pumps hooks up better and gained 1-2 mph.

Fit perfectly on a 1998 GTS. This Seadoo had the original wear ring, and was suffering from terrible performance - the engine revved, but the ski barely moved. Upon close examination, the old wear ring's interior surface was completely gone, leaving about a 1/4 inch gap all around the impeller. The new wear ring slid right in, and was very close to the impeller - so close that it rubbed in spots. So close that the starter wouldn't turn the impeller due to the friction. I had to take the two spark plugs out (of the engine) and turn the engine over a few times, I guess to remove the tiny bit of wear ring that was causing the resistance, then after reinstalling the plugs, the starter would turn the engine over, and the engine started. In the water, the ski's performance was restored. I also bought a replacement neoprene seal and was glad I did - the old seal was completely trashed.
