I've used a number of Sea to Summit products and am very happy with them.I bought this liner to use on the Tour Divide route, and this proved to be the worst item I brought with me. I should've tried it out before the trip, so that's on me.The liner failed to do its core functions - it both provided no additional warmth and it didn't keep my sleeping bag clean. My body oils and sweat transferred immediately thru the non-silk material. The hood is very bulky, with no good way to cinch it into place. And with no arm holes, there's no way to effectively close both a mummy bag and the liner. It's also quite bulky and heavy, and doesn't easily fit back into the storage bag (with cheap zipper) that comes with it.I'll be trying to get a refund from Sea to Summit.

The liner must be factory folded at pressure to fit in the stuff sack (presumably so it looks small and compact to help sell the item!). However, you cant stuff liner back in the bags as it is way to small. I had to buy another stuff sack double the size to fit it in!

It feels very cheap and sweaty, not at all what you’d expect from silk…

The liner is nice on its own as a lightweight sleeping cover in the heat, or in a sleeping bag. Given the price, I've always handwashed it after camping trips out of an abundance of caution, and it has held up perfectly. Dries quick, nearly weightless and packs really small. The one I bought is the mummy bag version which can fit a pillow, but I've found there is enough material to throw over your face to keep the mosquitos off

A sleeping bag liner is a surprisingly useful addition to the old gear bag. Putting it inside a sleeping bag makes the bag a little bit warmer, and it also helps keep the bag clean, which helps prolong the life of the bag. I have also used this with just a down throw (or a woobie and a throw) when it was too warm for my sleeping bag, but too cool to sleep with no covers at all. The material is soft, and I never noticed the stitching, so it's super-comfy. The mummy style comes with a part that goes in the hood, so not only do you get the benefit of a little extra insulation around the head, but it also helps keep the dirt and oils from your hair off the bag (or sleeping pad, if you're not using a bag).I'm a natural fiber kind of guy, and while this is not 100% silk, that's a good thing. It has Lycra panels along the side, so it will stretch, not tear, when you move around. It's well made, machine washable, and comes with its own zippered stuff sack (ditch the sack and put it in your sleeping bag's stuff sack to save a little weight—16 g—on the trail).I don't go camping without my bag liner. It's a great product that does exactly what it's supposed to.

Amazingly warm, easy to move around in, just all around a great product. Do wish it came with a stuff sack instead of the zipper mesh bag that is heavy and challenging to close though.

Haven't tried a liner before but this is very nice. I don't believe it would help keep you warmer but it would be nice to have in warmer weather when you just want something over you. It's very soft and the stretchable sides help getting in and out. $70 is kind of steep but it does pack in a small pouch and is very light. Sea to Summit makes quality equipment and that is why I chose them over a generic brand. I would recommend this if you have the budget else find a cheap alternative and I'm sure you would be just as fine.

What a difference adding the stretch panels add to using these liners. I’ve used the travel one and now the double. Bought the double for two people and it’s great for budget travel for added comfort in dodgy places of stay. It’s feels great to the skin. It becomes easier to pack as time goes on. Only knocks are they are expensive for what they are. Also the ouch they come in for the price are cheap.

I know its expensive! But this sack is so comfy and stretchy, its like turning your whole bed to silk. Keeps bed bugs off and you can toss and turn with ease. Great for hotels, trains and sleeping bags. Very compact and light weight. A luxury on the hiking trail for sure! I'm 6'1 @ 190 and there is mega room, length and width.

This liner feels so smooth against rough skin, and allows me to move through sleep with the stretch panels. I've used this liner on cool nights to add extra warmth in my traditional sleeping bag, and it's kept me cool and dry by itself in a hammock on hot, humid, nights. I would definitely recommend this silk liner to any traveler or adventurer who wants to add a high level of comfort to their sleep, without adding much weight to their kit. Worth every penny!
