Part numbers 400190 and 400200 have a 12V 18.4W DC double contact bayonet bulb. I ordered this light because the description clearly states it has a glass lense. This light has a plastic lense and in not the product represented. Very disappointed. These lights were much better construction and included the glass lense in the past. False advertising. Please send me a replacement glass lense.

I am a repeat customer who purchases these for my vintage Airstream restorations. Mainly because of the quality glass lens. Ordered 4 this time, and some came with the expected glass lens, the rest have a cheapened up plastic lens and no mounting hardware. Looks like Seadog cut manufacturing costs and no longer is delivering the quality product I came to love. What a shame! If this is in fact true, they lost my business as they now offered a flimsy plastic product just like everyone else...

This light was exactly what I was looking for. Stainless steel frame is a little lighter weight version of the same product I received back in 2016. But fine. Glass lense. Very important to me. This same part number I ordered elsewhere and received the same product but had a plastic lens. Not what I wanted or what was on the description. So glad Amazon makes sure the you get what is described! Love it for my teardrop project.

This light is a worthless paper weight, I bought 2 and while one is working I am going to rebuild it. One of the light I received had a bad switch, I pulled the switch off the old one which seemed to be the same make just 7 to 8 years older this worked, the next day the light would not work again, again I took out my multimeter and found the problem to be in the socket, after one evening of use with the stock bulb the base was falling apart internally, the plastic separator for the contacts, was broken. I must say this light was extremely hot with the stock bulb. I ended up buying an led light with the same bayonet fitting, again used the socket off my older light put it back together. it has now been working for a week, no heat with the led replacement bulb and plenty of light. At one point the quality control for these most have been decent as I am using parts from an old light from the same manufacturer, sadly I would not buy an electrical product from sea dog again!

Great light for the price. Don't need to spend ridiculous prices to get a good light. This one works as well as and looks the same as the expensive competitors.

seems sturdy enough. the glass is very thick; won't break easily. the switch seems like good quality too. i wish it had come with a gasket to keep moisture out (i'm using it in a trailer), but i happen to have some foam rubber left over from another project.the only thing i was slightly disappointed with, was the way the light socket was attached to the base. the position and angle cause the bulb to be pressed against the metal base. i think that will cause quite a bit of vibration, which will drastically shorten the life of the bulb. but i was able to bend the mounting tab so that the bulb is floating between the metal base and the glass. the fact i had to do this is the reason it only got 4 stars.
