I sometimes send 3D printed items (custom GPU supports) and don't always need a box. So I like to use the padded envelopes that have the bubble wrap stuff built in. Scotch is a well known brand, so you know you're getting quality and value for your money. The boxes are a couple bucks and these are less than a buck a piece so they are more cost efficient. I've sent out 6 supports in the last month and all have arrived just as I shipped them. So the durability is there for small items as long as they aren't to delicate.

Worked well for what i needed to ship. Obviously can't ship anything that is actually super fragile. I had no problem shipping bluray cases in these.

I love that these are eco-friendly and don't use plastic (other than the UPC sticker on them, why wasn't that just printed on the envelopes?). I'm not convinced they will provide equal protection to bubble mailers - they're a bit thinner walled, but that's ok for what I ship. Made in USA w/globally sourced materials.

What I do like about these is the size. I can put a small jewelry box in this package and mail it along with other items that go to the grandchildren, such as pictures or items small as a keychain, jewelry box, etc. Since the padding is very minimal, I wouldn't think of putting anything in this that would be easily broken, but as far as jewelry, put it in a small box for the extra protection. They are more environmentally friendly than plastic. Overall, these suit my purposes for sending smaller non-breakable items across country. No issues to date. I just wish they had a bit more padding in them.

I am not very impressed with these. They're good flat mailers, but they have almost no padding at all. I wasn't convinced that there was actually any padding inside so I cut one open and found a very thin layer of Styrofoam looking material. If you need protection I would recommend something else.

These are very similar to the paper mailers that Amazon uses. I can't tell if the insides are the same (like a white cottony material, not traditional bubble wrap) but I think they are the same because they are recyclable. You can put these in the recycling along with the cardboard.These can rip easier than the plasticky bubble mailers. That said, I think that is unlikely as I get this style in the mail all of the time and have had no real issues with them. They obviously don't protect what you're sending as well as a box (and water affects them more than the plasticky style). They do say they are water resistant. These are a more environmentally friendly option, and they are fine overall. Like the other reviewer, I noticed each one has a barcode sticker on it, and I'm not sure if that is for them to be scanned for individual resale instead of in a bundle like this product comes in? I didn't try to take them off, and when I mail stuff I've never had an issue with markings on boxes, so they're probably fine.I look at reviews a lot while shopping. I hope this review helps!

Scotch, a company that I trust, has succeeded in creating a great little mailer. The envelope mailer has a soft padding built in, and is recyclable, which you may or may not care about, but hey, there's a lot of paper and cardboard being thrown out these days, so why not?What I like is that it has a built in adhesive strip for secure closure, but also has the pull tab strip to make it easy to open once delivered. Kind of professional and super-classy.I have tried to show the actual depth of the mailer in the attached photo. The length of an item would need to be equal to or less than 8.5 inches to fit properly long-ways to avoid overlapping with the tear strip. These mailers expand a little for thicker items but not a lot, so keep that in mind.
