I ordered this Scarlet Darkness Renaissance Shirt Women Cotton Square Neck Ruffle Sleeve Peasant Blouse because I love the brand, and I was looking for a white, vintage inspired blouse to wear with my collection of floral patterned vintage style skirts.This blouse is made of 98% cotton/2% polyester; the heavy gauze fabric is soft and has a textured feel. It’s trimmed with a heavy lace threaded with a slim white satin ribbon; my guess is that the lace is made from manmade fibers from the hand feel. The blouse breathes well, it should be comfortable and cool to wear in spring and summer.The blouse is cut quite boxy; I usually wear a M in a tee and a L in a button down (I’m a bit busty), and I’ve worn a L in other Scarlet Darkness tops, so I ordered a L. It is bigger than I needed, though it looks quite nice when tucked into a skirt. I probably could have gone with a M in this design; it does seem to run a bit large and boxy, so order accordingly.I really love the wide, square neckline and the lace trim; it gives a lovely vintage feel to the blouse. I’m not as wild about the straps; there’s sort of a wide flutter thing going on, which isn’t the most flattering look for my upper arms. I would have preferred a puffed sleeves or sleeveless design to the flutter strap. That being said, I like that the wide straps/flutter sleeve neatly cover bra straps; though I need to choose a bra with caution when wearing this blouse, as black and bright colors show through. A tee shirt bra in nude or white was the best choice under this blouse for me.At the current price ($15.89) this is an excellent bargain; this blouse is nicely made and should last for many years. This vintage themed design will never go out of style; white, lace trimmed blouses are always welcome in spring.I love vintage and vintage styled clothing and costumes, and this blouse pairs beautifully with many of my floral patterned skirts, and looks beautiful with my long white petticoats. But you could also easily style this blouse with more modern style clothing.Another lovely design from Scarlet Darkness combining the best of old school style notes and modern materials and construction.

This shirt is very pretty! There are beautiful details. It is very flowy and I think would look best tucked into something. I tried with with a corset I have from the same brand and it perfect together! This would look so nice tucked into a flowy skirt. It was a bit boxy and bigger than I expected for a small, but I think it's designed that way.

This is another fantastic Scarlet Darkness product. The material is soft and feels nice against the skin. The details on the shoulders and around the neckline are sweet and feminine. (I especially like the little satin ribbon.) The cut of the shirt is flattering even to my shape. (For reference, I am 5'4", 170 pounds, normally wear a size L, and am very much pear-shaped.) The olive green is spot on! I washed it on cold and hung it dry. It did well with this care.

Cute well made and nicely finished top. This is a great summer top. I live in a very hot area and this will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe. I have always like peasant blouses and skirts, but as luck would have it my work is more "business attire", luckily this blouse is perfect for my leisure time. It is well made. The seams are finished, as well as the hem and sleeves. The material is suprisingly soft and so is the lace. Very nice shirt.

This is a lovely top in a beautiful green that matches the other earth tones in my wardrobe very nicely! I love the feel of the (mostly) cotton fabric, but it is a bit thin. I think this is a top more particular to a body shape than most! If you have a long torso, I don't think this will fit very flatteringly. The fit is somewhere between an artist smock and a hospital gown, cut short at the waist.

This shirt is soft and seems nice, my only complaint was that mine was a little bit big which is a small complaint since I tuck this into my skirts. I think it looks great under a dress or corset. It also is nice just by itself with a skirt over it. It is nice to have options.

What a lovely shirt! I think I’ll wear it tucked in, but it is very flowy if I wear it out. The flutter sleeves look great and allow for lots of extra space for my extra large upper arms. The neckline sits very nicely at a modest square with the little tied ribbon. The material is soft, looks amazing, and washed well.The color is a beautiful green. I really enjoy how it looks and feels!
