I like to use super fine grit wet sandpaper to sharpen and hone my chisels and plane blades. A spritz of water will help the sandpaper adhere to a flat piece of glass or a scrap of quartz countertop material, giving you a nice large, very flat surface, and the succession of the fine grits that this sandpaper provides lets you get a super sharp edge.Now, I have no real way of knowing whether the grits on this sandpaper (or any sandpaper, for that matter) are actually the grits that are stated. But that said, what matters is the progression of grits, and the sheets in this set do indeed get finer and finer, to the point of barely being able to feel the grittiness on the really fine grits.I'm happy with this, and especially like that you can get a set with a whole bunch of different grits, rather than having to buy a bunch of individual packages.
