I got this recipe binder for a Christmas present to a family member. It has so many sheets for recipes and dividers. This binder is great for the price and better quality than you would expect

I was very happy with this item when I received it a few days ago. I love the purple/white/black design. It's feminine without being obnoxiously so. But what sold me were the insides of it. It was easy to open and close, which several of my other 3-ring recipe binders are NOT, and that always leads to trouble. They also sent here as a bonus some dividers WITH tabs, which is great, and lots of sheets to put in handwritten recipes from my mom or things I pull out of the classic food mags. Those sheets were also easy to open, which is a bonus, since the last one I got, it was an ORDEAL to open the plastic sheets that hold paper in them. I never knew it could be that difficult, but it was. Took me hours to put stuff in them. Crazy. These I opened easy peasy, and said a little prayer of thanks for that! So there is absolutely nothing wrong with this item, and I think it would make a great gift for a child of yours (you're right, young adult!) who just moved into their new place, if you fill it with your time-tested recipes. In my case, it's a good way for me to store those new recipes from mags I haven't tried yet, so I don't know what's good and worth pasting into my master 3-ring of A+ recipes. Yes, I have a system. Both my kids love food, but I think this would be a better gift for my daughter because of the coloring. But yes, I'm very happy I ordered it, and I know she'll love it too. Purple is her favorite color. Always nice to get a little help from mom! A++ awesome item. Practical & easy to use. They really thought this one out well! Good quality materials, too.

I’ve been using large photo albums, the ones with pages that are rigid and tacky with a plastic film you lift up. It worked well, but it’s a bit thick, heavy, and I can’t remove the pages when I cook.I find this recipe binder the best way to store all my recipes in one place. The cellophane page inserts enable me to slide my recipes in easily no matter what size it’s written on. I have hande-me-down recipes from my mom and grandmother and wanted to keep the originals it’s written on. When I need the recipe I just take the page out of the binder. If it gets soiled I just wipe down the page and the recipe stays clean. It’s a perfect solution to keep all my recipes together, and they are all in one place no matter what size paper it’s written on.I also like the binder because I have an option on how I want to set it up. Not sure yet if I will use alphabetical tabs or set it up by food category. Yes this is just a binder with some hole punched plastic pages, but I like the printed cover and it comes with enough stuff to get me started. There are also free files on the website you can download and print out yourself to customize the book even further. Not sure why I never thought of using something like this before.

I expected a bit more from this recipe binder. It is a plain low quality binder just like you would buy at any discount store with a printed face and back that is not as pretty in person as it is in the description photo. It came with some page inserts and some tabbed page inserts with blank cards to write on. Honestly, I should have just put this together myself, it would have been cuter and less cost than the price point on this. To get matching pages you go online and print them- you are unable to type on them like a fill in pdf so you print the pages and then have to hand write all your recipes on them anyway. They offer recipe card size, full pages, printable tabs, and section page cover sheets that match..... all on your ink and paper! For the price - most of this should have been included... preprinted tabs and section sheet pages for sure. I won't even be using this ... I can throw together better word art in less then 5 minutes and be able to type and print my recipes on the same page. Which is what I should have just done to begin with but I thought this was going to save me some steps.

A few years ago, I purchased a custom-made recipe book for my wife. Unfortunately, she has never used it as it wasn't really good for what (I assumed) it was made for. Well, it's the thought that counts. But I redeemed myself with this recipe binder as it has everything you could possibly need to store and organize your recipes. What makes this different, from the ill-fated book I had made, is that it is actually made for recipes and a kitchen environment. You get the plastic binder, plastic pages, as well as the tabbed pages. Yes, you probably can make this yourself (maybe even less expensively), but if you factor in your time to get everything it might be about the same price. Another nice perk is that you can go to the Samsill website and download printable pages, tabs, etc. that match the style of your book - and its free!In any case, my dearest is happy with it and is in the process of moving stuff from her various boxes to the binder. I win because my chances of getting an old favorite recipe made has now improved considerably.I hope that my review and pic has been helpful to you. Regards.
