What should have been an easy assembly was not. The nut wouldn't fit on the bolt with the washer, and eventually the post or bolt began turning in it's mount when I tried to tighten it. Also the spike to hold the tatami is too fat, it's an inch across. Waste of time and money.

Peices do not fit together, holes and posts are not aligned/alignable. Need to stagger set it and hope for the best. Final securing nut is larger than my three different wrench sets can handle, will have to buy a new, additional one-time-use wrench to assemble.Don't do it

The image shows this product comes with a mat but it does not. It's certainly not worth the price. Buy a couple of boards and save yourself a lot of money.

Important to practice control in strikes, not power. I have a great time trying NOT to hit my target, then knock a crumbled water bottle off the top with my training tool. Try it!

I used some wood glue to keep the spike in place and it is dope! I can use a bunch of things such as pool noodles with no worry of it flying out into the neighbor's yard :)

This stand made it through about 5 mats before it became unusable. The spike / Peg that holds the mats in place broke on the first attempt at a horizontal cut. (Just a regular cut to the center of the mat, did not hit the peg) and the nut that holds the assembly together started pulling the bolt loose from the frame after needing to be tightened repeatedly. Sadly I spent $60 on this thing, but even if they lower the price do NOT buy.

Pretty good design. My only problem with it is the peg is relatively soft and broke when I first tried to cut wet tatami mats on it. I was able to replace it and it works fine, but a professionally made item such as this should not require that.
