I get great results every time I use these levelers. They add a bit of thickness to the back side, but it’s very achievable with a bit of planning

This leveling system is easy to use. When it come time to remove them I use a rubber ballot and the breakaway feature makes it simple. However if you do get thinset on the stud they aren't that easy to remove. The tops are reusable so this is a plus.

I researched several different lipage control systems before deciding on the Spin Doctor. I liked that it does not require a special tool to tighten, just spin the cap down on the spacers by hand.I used these spacers and spinners to install tile on our bathroom floor and shower/tub surround. Our house is older so the floors & walls are not perfectly level, even after a couple gallons of self-leveler, but the tiles turned out great! My grandpa was a union tile setter for a majority of his adult life, he taught me how to float tile to compensate for level issues, I wish he was still alive to see this innovation, it's so effective! Absolutely love it!

These are excellent, but I've heard people complain that they don't snap off properly, so here are a couple of tips that might help:1. Make sure the spinner is on this TIGHT before trying to snap it off -- the increase in tension will help force the separation in the right place below the tile2. If it still doesn't break below the tile and leaves a plastic nub sticking up, grab tightly onto the nub as close to the tile surface as possible with large locking pliers, then give the pliers a good whack with your hand in the direction of the grout line (be sure to catch the pliers with your other hand so you don't damage the tile) -- this will almost always break it below the tile surface3. When setting tile, try to keep thinset away from the spacer, as a build up of thinset around it is the usual cause for it not to snap off properly later

Works great overall with leveling the tiles. You just have to make sure to back butter the tiles or coverage is an issue and you could get some popped tiles. The other issue is with smaller tiles. Tiny cut tiles will not work with this system along walls where you can't get all 4 sides screwed down. Also, be careful when knocking them lose to hit them in the direction of the grout lines otherwise the force could pop the tile or more likely break off at top of the tile.

I liked the ease of use and the consistently smooth transition between tiles..I also enjoyed the process of knocking each one off with the rubber mallet after curing of the thinset completed.

Makes our work look professional...just be sure to clear all mortor away around the base of the stems or they will not break off cleanly when dry

These are awesome but here is my tip list for use. When removing, you leave on the spinner but remember to hit it a low as you can or you chance breaking off the stem only. Also use the clear spacers, they are also re-useable so only buy as many as spinners. They help you to tighten spinners without binding to much on tile and breaking. Do not get any mortor on the sides on the spacers between spacer and the tile, or removing will be a challenge and you will end up breaking stems only. Then you have to dig out the spacer so you can grout. If you do get some breakage, use knife to clear and motor between tile edge and clip make sure no mortor beside clip in the groove, if so dig it out, then clamp base of clip with vice grips tight and wiggle till it moves a bit then tip the pliers sideways to break the base off. This worked for 99% of the ones I broke off before i realized the no mortor tip. no more breakage after that. They do work really good to give DIYer a pro level job.

Install works great, but with heavy thick tiles like 3/4' granite, use more spacers than recommended, at least every 3-4" to get better grip on tile. Also, if using thick tiles, depth of spacer is mostly covered by tile side, which can result in multiple broken stems when hammering on red cap to remove. Wastes lots of time to manually remove broken stems and can result in chipped tiles.Instead, spin off red cap first, use pointed hard wood block firmly at base of screw with direct contact on spacer head and then hammer. Using this method did NOT break a single spacer (100x in last batch), hardwood doesn't damage tile, plus saved plenty of time over manual removal of broken spacer stems.Russo really should show different removal process when using heavy / thick tiles.

This system was worth the extra expense. We had used the little spacers in the past. This time when remodeling our bathroom we used it for our tile floor and the walls around the bathtub and shower. It made it so much easier to keep the tiles spaced well and leveled. The only problem we had was using it on the decorative tile that was much smaller--we learned we should not tighten the spinners as tight or they buckle up. Very happy with the overall outcome.
