It’s perfect. Had one for years and lost it over time. This is new with both holder holes. Buy it.

Was cleverly misguided when looking at this item. The magnets sit long ways on edge instead of flat causing it to obviously be weak and give false reading values in critical environments. It will do in a pinch.Verify rear flywheel housing centricity X15 transport engine, what a pain.

Its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It lives up to its name. Stays put everytime. Really the only complaint i have is trying to get it up off the steel.

Decent magnet, but like some of the other reviewers noted, the tapped holes were unusable until I ran a tap through them, mostly to clean out the paint. Don't force the thumbscrews, just chase out the threaded holes.: 2@1/4-20, and 1@#10-32.

I use this everyday and it does it's job. It can be a little loose at times. The magnets wear down below the plastic, but I just sand the plastic down a little and it's good as new.

That's how long ago I bought my first Mighty Mag. This is my second Might Mag and it's just as great as my first. These are STRONG mag-bases. You just about have to pry them off of any flat surface (which is a good thing). An excellent tool when using opposing dial indicator contact points for inspection. Thanks for asking!

I have only used this a couple of times so far, but it is very, very useful. As a woodworker, often I need to sneak up on the fit. For example, I had a tight dado. I measured the dado and the insert board with calipers, calculating the difference. I then used the mighty mag to hold the digital gauge against the saw fence, so that I could "bump" the fence the exact adjusted amount on the first try. This saved me time AND prevented me from going too far and ruining my piece.
