As far as rice spoons go this one is pretty nice but has too short of a handle IMO. Otherwise, the quality is pretty good, and the wood it is made from is nice looking. It arrived with what I assume was an oiled finish, but I oiled mine with mineral oil anyway after washing and before using it for the first time.

Nice wooden spoon for serving rice etc.This spoon is useful for cooking, and scooping up food to serve with, maybe for a salad, noodles also.The handle is short, and spoon could be deeper, but they all seem the same!I threw away all my plastic spatulas , serving spoons etc. as there BPA and more chemicals , and melting into Our food. Also plastic is not bio- degradable.I noticed a price drop with this spoon.
