I am an adult riding a large pony and this is the right size for tapping her on the shoulder when I’m trying to get her though being barn sour when heading out on trails. Fits over the horn of my saddle, but the loop is tight trying to get it over my hand to my wrist, which is my only complaint. It’s probably sized for children’s wrists. But since the loop is small it doesn’t fall off my saddle horn which has been a problem w larger crops. So it has its pluses and minuses depending on why you need a small crop. Good quality, it’s holding up after having it several months. Price is great!

My daughter uses this one for her ride on toy horses, but it will work well for small hands and real horses as well. Good quality, especially for the price.
