I like all the aspects of this tool from the magnet to the plumb bob. Bc of its functionality, I can use it in places I wouldn't have otherwise thought/ been able to.

This is a very solid lead sinker. The weight on the bottom is very solid. The string seems to be a little too thin for a lead sinker. But it works very well. I guess it's balanced somehow internally; when you release the pressure of the lead sinker on the jar, it automatically starts to reel in the string. It doesn't fall down on its own though, you have to pull on it. When you push the black button, the little pin that sticks out gets pushed out. There's a little black tab that you slide to lock it in so it doesn't accidentally poke you. The magnet on the base is recessed about 1/8 of an inch, but I haven't tried that yet. There's also a hanging hole on the bottom that you can use to hang it on a nail instead of just a magnet or pin. Looks like good quality, happy to recommend
