After spilling some liquid on the original trackpad in my late 2011 MacBook Pro 8,1, the trackpad took in a life of its own - moving randomly and not registering clicks. This arrived quickly. It took less than 10 minutes to replace. Perfect fit, and works flawlessly.

When properly installed works like a charm. Make sure you're delicate with removal and reinstallation of the tiny screws, and use the proper screwdrivers.

It took me about 15 minutes to replace this part. My old one was cracked by a failing battery. This one functions exactly like the OEM pad. It is a shade darker than the original aluminum color, but for a 2012 MBP I’m just glad to keep it running.Great price, and product!

I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro, Model A1278, and this trackpad replacement fits perfectly. Its performance for the most part is pretty good but has the occasional issue.INSTALLATION: Pretty straight forward provided you have a small screwdriver set to fit the screws on the bottom of your MacBook. 1. Remove bottom, 2. Unscrew battery to gain access to trackpad. You do not need to remove it, only fold it up so its out of the way., 3. Unpin cable from trackpad, do not unpin from board, 4. Unscrew 4 trackpad screws and you can now remove it. To install, repeat the steps in reverse order.FIT: No issues here. Fit perfectly and didn't require any finessing.COLOUR: There is a slight variance in colour from my MacBook. Could be the colour of my MacBook has faded over the last 10 years (most likely), or it was matched to a later gen MacBook with different paint as per Apple, whatever the reason, it's off ever so slightly. I'm just happy at this point my 10 year old MacBook still works. I would even install a solid black trackpad at this point to keep it going, just know and set your expectations prior to ordering.ISSUES: I encounter 3 issues fairly consistently, but not enough that I care to return or feel the need to change. 1. Sometimes while moving the cursor across the entire screen it loses tracking. I have to lift my finger and pick up from where it stopped. 2. Double finger scrolling is hit and miss. Works about 80% of the time, the rest it tracks as 1 finger, just moves the cursor. 3. Double finger/right click, works slightly less than my scrolling issue, perhaps 60% of the time, the rest of the time it functions as a left click. Really annoying when you are trying to click a link and open in a new tab vs same window.VALUE: I've been using this for 8 months now and its issues are tolerable, but certainly isn't a cheap replacement either. I did expect it to be flawless. Unfortunately not too many options available as this MacBook generation is now 10+ years old.

After 10 years of use, my MacBook Pro 13" needed a new trackpad. I installed it in 15 minutes after watching some youtube videos and use the appropriate screwdriveers. It works perfectly so far, so if you do not hear from me in the future, it means it is still performing as expected.Presentation and cosmetic are exactly the same as the original (but cheaper in $$). So far, I am happy.Quick delivery time.

I've had my MacBook for nearly ten years so have gotten used to using. When the puppy decided said laptop needed to drink my tea one morning instead of me I nearly had a heart attack. After taking apart, cleaning, and letting settle before putting back together, realized the touchpad wasn't working. Pulled out a mouse but dang if that didn't mess me up. Found this and so glad I purchased. Easy install and boom, happy again with a touchpad instead of mouse. My fingers and mind are happy again. :). Was worried wouldn't work but zero trouble. Sooooo happy!!

A reviewer I am not, however this product works so well that I was compelled to leave a review. Taking apart the Mac to adjust the trackpad or change the battery etc. is not new to me. I already had some knowledge in advance including removing the trackpad. What I was very glad about in buying the Pardarsey replacement was that it went right in and was immediately usable without any adjustments needed. It looks and feels exactly like the original Apple one. So search no more this trackpad has it all.

Everything about this replacement track pad has been great except for the fit and it's a little more sensitive than the original. There is a small, but noticeable difference in the fit from the original. Plus its really sensitive where even lightly brushing your arm or fingers across it while typing causes things to open. Overall it works well.

The screen of my wife's MacBook Pro computer (13 inch) has been acting up and seems to have developed a mind of its own. I was able to narrow it down to a bad trackpad. I found this replacement on Amazon and felt that the price was right and the ease of installation was super easy (if you know your way around the insides of a MacBook Pro). We've had it for about a month and it's work perfectly. I highly recommend.

Had to replace mine as my battery expanded and shattered my old one. Super easy fix with the trusty help of online tutorial videos.

Apple replacement products are so expensive. My mid 2012 Mac isn't worth the financial investment anymore. My partner is pretty handy, so googled how to replace this part and within 15 minutes I was back on track. Works perfect, scrolling, clicking, same amount of pressure/give as original mac product. When I inquired locally about this replacement, they quoted me for over a $120+. Would recommend if you are handy and able to replace yourself.

Worked great! Until it didn’t. About 3 hours of use total before it stopped registering clicks. It’s a problem with the pad as I put my old pad back in and it worked (except for the dead zone that prompted its replacement)
