I live in an older home and have wood window facings. I tried both the wax and marker. The wax pencils work way better than the markers. I did not like the markers at all and feel they are not a medium that is fit to use on anything that is wood in my house. The wax is a better solution for me.

These are easy to use and the markers work well on uneven surfaces. The crayons are great for first filling in gashes in the wood, then use the makers to fade the color into the original wood. There is a very wide range of colors to best match nearly any wood finish. I have found that you can blend some to get a more natural look.

Hello friends, I selected this set of wood stain repair markers for repairing oak.One of my housemates thought it was a good idea to clean the fingerprints off of an oak cabinet door with cleaner. It stripped the the stain off the veneer. I thought these markers would work to restore it. I started using the oak stain marker and realized it wasn't going to work. It has a reddish hue to it almost like cherry wood. It didn't work. So I tried using the touch up fillen sticks, also in oak, to repair some cracks. It worked really well there. You can't even tell it's filled in to the naked eye. My camera will tell you otherwise but no one's taking pictures of my cabinets. I tried some of the other markers and they were also too red. The black marker did work on a black chair, but it is not a high gloss marker, so it created a matte line.

I ordered this FlyBunny Brand repair pen set because I have different colored furniture that needs touching up. This wooden furniture repair kit has 10 markers and 10 wax sticks in a great variety of browns, blacks, grey and white. There are no instructions with it Set but if you look in the advertisement online, you have to heat up the wax with a flame to help fill in cracks and scratches. I used the markers on my brown and grey furniture, and they worked well. These were much more successful than the black sharpie I had used in the past. This is a very useful kit to restore worn and scuffed furniture.Positives:• Great array of furniture colors• Useful• Arrived quickly• Very reasonable priceNegatives:• No instructions included regarding wax crayons• Instructions would be useful for tips and techniques on how best to apply5 stars

Great product, is it perfect no, but would I highly recommend it yes. Comes with several different wax crayons (plus sharpener) and markers. Wish they included a storage case because there is no way you can keep them in the original plastic. I tried this on a table and the result is much better than the original deep scratches. The wax didn’t completely fill them, probably is only helpful on light scratches, but definitely better than nothing.I should’ve taken before/after pictures. But the single scratch to the left that very clearly shows raw wood is not repaired. Immediately, next to that is a cluster of repaired scratches (note you don’t see any raw wood).

I’ve used scratch markers for a few years, now, to touch up wood furniture in my home, in particular the mahogany bedroom set I inherited from my parents. This set comes with a variety of the marker pens and also with the crayon-type which can be used to fill in gauges that are more severe than just scratches.I recommend testing in a small discreet area of your piece of furniture to get your best color match. You might have a rag handy, as well, to kind of blend it and buff it in a bit.The marker worked great to hide the scratches on the dresser and, having the full set with several colors I will now be able to touch up all my furniture scratches as I see them.I think a set like this is terrific to keep around for maintaining the look of fine furniture and even real wood floors.

These are essentially markers and crayons meant to camouflage damage. Unfortunately for me, this set did not have the color I needed for my furniture. I need something lighter than oak/maple/cherry but not white. I did try it on some other furniture and it did a decent job at covering the marks and scratches. The wax sticks fill in holes, the problem is that the finish is dull and does not match the wood. So I do find it visible and noticeable. I guess these are better than nothing but I wouldn't call them a "repair" kit.
