I noticed while towing a heavy trailer that my Trailblazer bottomed out. It was not the usual bump but a loud and unforgiving hit- sharp and hard against the rear differential. Upon investigation I noticed the bumper was missing. The mounting unit remained. Install should be simply pressing this bumper into the mounting unit. I would suggest using a small bottle jack to press the bumper into place. My plans are to replace the bumpers, sway bar connectors, springs and shocks completely rebuilding the rear suspension of my 2002 Trailblazer with almost 200,000 miles. OK... I admit... about time! I did this to my first Trailblazer and the improved ride was fantastic improving performance and control.

I returned these bump stop before installing. They are made of a very hard plastic and would not absorb shock as they stopped the bump. The factory originals are made of a pliable material that would absorb force as they stopped the bump. Also not shure how well they would hold up in -30° we get here in SD.
