These padded shirts provide the wearer with a layer of conformal cushioning and support, yet react to help dissipate energy when an impact is applied. The body is 85 percent polyester Pro Dri material/15 percent spandex. Shirt is machine washable.

My kids use these for both baseball and softball. They fit well, are comfortable and hold up to constant washing in the washing machine.

I have a small kid so i was worried about the fit of this but the smallest size fit him well and doesn't really impede him when playing baseball or pitching, but still gives him that extra protection he needs. Great protudct.

My son is 9 years old and 60lbs. Ordered the M. It doesn't fit him super tight but it is long enough to tuck in and it's not too bulky that it will bother him under his jersey.

Picked up three of these shirts for each of my three boys for baseball. The material of the shirt is very nice and very durable; it has that Under Armour texture to it that wears cool and feels neither bulky nor cheap. The pad is a lightweight but shock absorbent foam; similar to a wrestling or gymnastics mat. It provides the protection I was looking for without restricting mobility and having my boys feel like they are playing baseball in a knight's armor. These shirts have been through the wash multiple times each and they wash great and hold their form very well.The price point was also excellent for these shirts in comparison to the other types.Sizing was a bit of a guess as I ordered these on the blind. It worked out pretty well for me so allow me to "pay it forward" with some sizing tips based on the sizing success I had with my average sized 6, 7, and 10 year old boys:~40-55lbs = Small~56-70lbs = Medium~71-85lbs = Large~86-100lbs = X-Large>100lbs, go for an adult size or the Double-XL if its available.Good luck.

My son is very happy with it. It is not bulky and his movement is still the same as without it. He is a pitcher, and is less afraid of a baseball hitting him now.
