This is a solid 1st baseman mitt. Encore is the level right below heart of the hide. Glove comes pretty well broken in from the factory. My son used it a few hours and then used in a 10u travel ball game and it was fine.

This glove didn’t have a whole lot of reviews, either here or anywhere else. Just a few here and there. After getting it on sale for my son who wanted a nice Rawlings glove, I pulled the trigger on it. It’s very nice and fairly easy for him to break in with just a mallet, a ball and a rubber band. We have played catch several times now and it seems to be getting easier for him to close. I would strongly recommend this if you are after a nice glove for your kid who might not be ready for a Heart of the Hide.

Great quality for the price. Perfect for a 9-12 yr old. If you want to spend $300 on a 1st baseman's mitt, wait til they are playing there full time. This is also a good option as a "team mitt".

El guante tiene un error de diseño en la caja H, basicamente una bola lanzada fuerte se sale si es atrapada juto con la part baja de la red H.

Perfect for my 9 year old who plays travel baseball. Breaks in easy and not too big. Quality of the leather seems very good but probably not the level of a more expensive glove which is fine since he’ll grow out of it in a year or two.
