Speakers and amp a little over 1 month old. Did fine until I got this. It burnt up everything I just bought. It will destroy your system. It does not work. It damaged my system in less than 10 minutes.

Although the instructions tell you to use the enclosed resistor to charge it and discharge it, but mine did not have a resistor included. Now, I've had other capacitors and usually if they had a digital top then they didn't require charging or discharging as the digital display and circuitry will do it for you, so I used it anyway, and it works fine. Be cautious when working on your car though, because your electrial system will still have power in it for a few seconds after disconnecting the main battery, as the capacitor is like a small battery (this was how I che ked the capacitors ability to charge and discharge itself).

Waste of money finally got it installed and thing doesn't even hold a charge faulty and returned window is gone no support from customer service don't buy from total junk!

I bought one used hoping to get a great deal. But unfortunately it wasn't entirely tested, so it didn't work correctly. It would light up and show the volts, but instantly gets hot and with ANY load, it started to smell and condensation immediately appeared under the plastic display case. Im bummed I couldn't use it. It seemed like a sweet design for a bargain!

After 4 months of use, it started causing my subs to pop at higher volumes, removed it, and it sounded way better, no more popping either.

Works fine, seems like a decent product, when I got it something I can hear loose on the inside but it's probably because of the Amazon delivery driver, practicing his softball pitches with my Amazon packages. Good product tho

EDIT*** 8.8.2022 update - Still looks and works fantastically!!! NO REGRETS!!! Quality built! Recommended!Used to help power my Pioneer D9705 amp. The voltage meter seems accurate, it looks cool mounted in the rear, and I presume it helps as the bass doesn't rise and fall anymore. Would I buy it again? I don't know. Probably would.
