This Plastic housing, chrome covered, plastic gear is completely incapable of handling the day to day driving requirements. It did overheat and explode while driving. These items do not come with Grease, and it is absolutely required. My product lasted thru three months of winter, then exploded while driving, and flew off the vehicle. I inspected the other hub, and it was hot and melted, sitting very loose on the vehicle. Spend twice as much, and get an actual metal housing hub. Avoid, except in an extreme need.

I bought this and they did not work on my 1999 they seems to lock the axle but won’t spin the tires and everything was working before I replaced the new hub.

These hubs are a direct replacement for Mazda 3000 4x4 pickups and Ford Ranger. They are manual locking hubs which works great because they override the vacuum actuators on the truck. This allows for manual 4 wheel drive engagement. Easy installation. Good craftsmanship. Great value.

Put on 1998 Ranger that previously had been changed to manual hubs. I had a wheel bearing failure and lost a hub. These were real inexpensive compared to most out there. Seemed to be of good quality. They worked. I have sold truck to can not attest to how long they may last. Got me going for not a lot of money. They were even nice and shinny.
