Quality control seems to be pretty spotty. Had originally ordered a full set from 4WP and 1 rear had lost its charge straight out of the box. So I ordered one off Amazon while waiting for their customer service to slowly sort out their return process. Because what am I supposed to do, drive on 3 shocks? So that left me with a spare. So I bought another to have a pair that I figured I would use on the next project. (That original Jeep is still running them with OK performance.) And I did, a couple years later. They just sat on a shelf still in the boxes until then. Well, new wrangler build comes along, grab the Ranchos off the spare parts shelf. They have about 300 miles, if that, on them. That includes one easy trail ride on what is considered County roads. Jeep has bias ply super swampers on it, and they do shake for several miles after sitting for any among of time. But after ~300 miles, one rear has no charge and has a huge dead spot in it, and the other one barely has any charge. They're 3-4 years old at this point so don't expect a warranty or anything. Were installed on the Jeep for probably a year before it finally got finished and rolling. Covid froze the build for a while. And the paint started to come off and rust with them just parked outside my barn in short grass. So they look well used despite having so few miles.Just seems like having 2.5 bad ones out of a total of 6 means poor QC somewhere in the line.I think I'm done buying Rancho.
