I ordered these after I accidentally broke the one that came with our rain chain when I tried bending it to fit our downspout hole. Because our downspout holes are smaller, and it seems that all of these adapter V-hooks are made for a standard size hole, I need to bend them slightly in order to make them fit.Unfortunately, this set looks just like the ones that broke on me. I got these specifically because it is claimed that they are made of durable iron; but after holding the V-hook I suspect that it is aluminum, just as another reviewer has suggested.Because the other V-hook that I broke was aluminum, I fear that these too will crack when I try to bend them. I suppose I could try and see what happens.However, if you have standard gutter downspouts, then these adapters and V-hooks will probably work for you just fine.

Something lost in translation. These are aluminum, not iron. Works fine for me though. The S-hooks fit perfectly on the adapter, so I'm happy with it. Will update if it doesn't weather well.
