This tool holds the dampening rod from turning as advertised. I was able to complete the install of emulators in my forks. You need long arms or a second person to reach both ends of the fork.

It worked but was too short. Had to use an extension to reach down into the tube to hold the tool. The wedged itself and I could reach it to wiggle it. Messed with it enough to finally get it to come out. Both legs did the same. Worked but not without some extra effort

racetech makes the work of repairing/servicing motorcycles so much easier with their tools. a must have if you do it a lot. not so great if you're doing it for 1 time only.
