It is not easy to cut to size and is hard to get to lay down flat. Felt with thin plastic over it. Absolutely no more quiet than paper as barrier. Would never use again.

I did a lot of research on the best underlayment for laminate floors with heated flooring underneath. The low R value was a big win, especially with such a great product.As can happen sometimes, I ordered two 200 sq ft rolls and in error, received a 200 and a 100 sq ft roll. I contacted the company and they were so fantastic. I had the label ready to send a photo of as evidence, but they trusted me. I so disgusted with how retail stores, at least in my town treat everyone like a criminal because crime is so horrific. The mistake was a bummer, but their expediency in resolving it was fantastic, and their customer service absolutely fantastic.

I pushed the envelope and used this product under glue down vinyl plank - using Henry pressure glue coating the very poor subfloor with a paint roller. I cut and fitted this underlayment (with a floor roller) then glued again and planked over the top - so far this has worked very well. It gives the floor some insulation and feels really nice underfoot.

We used it as a vapor barrier over our basement cement floor before we laid a floating vinyl plank floor down. We like that it has a DriWick layer that wicks away moisture so that it does not get trapped. Hope it works. Also, there are no VOCs. A relative who laid the flooring for us wished he had also used this. He noticed that there is much less noise when you walk on our floating vinyl plank floor.Great customer service too! Initially received on roll that was torn and they sent a replacement right away.
